Nymphenburg Manufactory

It was founded in 1747 by two local craftsmen, the brothers Franz Ignaz and Augustin Niederajer, but continuous porcelain production did not begin until 1753 with the arrival of the Viennese arcanist Joseph Jakob Ringer. In 1761, the porcelain manufactory came under the protection of Elector Maximilian III Joseph and achieved considerable development and was moved from Munich to a new building in Nymphenburg Castle.
