Ludwigsburg Manufactory
It was founded in 1758 by the Duke of Wurttemberg, Charles Eugene. After operating for about two years in a barracks, it was housed in a wing of the royal residence in Jagerhaus where the faience factory was already located. The most successful period coincided with the ducal court’s stay in Ludwigsburg; in fact, with the latter’s move to Stuttgart in 1775, the decline began, which led to the factory’s closure in 1823.
